Being with AIMSS since October of 2022, I bring valuable experience from my previous role as VP of Operations at AIMSS 2023/2024 as well as previously the Director of operations. This position provided me with a deep understanding of team dynamics, meeting coordination, and organization logistics. Moreover, I have held leadership roles such as VP Creation and Innovation at Raising Hopes, Co-VP events at CFASA, and President of Girl Up Edmonton. At Raising Hopes, I contributed to designing crochet fidget toys for our ER compassion bags and spearheaded project ideas and events at the Misericordia hospital. Over my three-year experience as president of Girl Up, I led initiatives including a bottle and clothing drive, social media campaigns, partnerships with local women-owned businesses, and various fundraising events. As VP Operations for 2024/2025, I will leverage these experiences not only to ensure events run smoothly, but that they are engaging and innovative to the field of AI.

I am going into my final year of nursing and am elated to take on a new challenge as Vice President of AIMSS. I have been a part of AIMSS for the past couple of years, so I have the experience and drive needed for this upcoming role. My plans for the upcoming year involve working closely with the national AIMSS group to collaborate on bringing more events and opportunities (such as perhaps a re-integration of the beginner AI in healthcare course) to the University of Alberta community while continuing to raise awareness and knowledge of the field.
